D&BTV 200: In The Rhythmix

On Thursday 7th June, Med School DJs Lung and Joe Syntax will be playing a b2b set as part of the D&BTV 200 event between 4-5pm.

It’s the 200th D&BTV show and the guys at D&B Arena are marking the occasion by teaming up with Brighton based charity, Rhythmix, for a 24 hour session with over 30 DJs to raise money for the youth music charity which will be live streamed from D&BTV HQ. The line up includes the likes of Icicle, Alix Perez, Kasra, Foreign Concept, Jubei, Fracture & Nepture and more.

The event will be taking place from 7pm on Wednesday 6th June until 7pm on Thursday 7th June, with Lung and Joe Syntax stepping up between the hours of 4-5pm.

Barefoot – Murmurs OFFICIAL VIDEO

Matt Terry, an old friend of Barefoot’s, has made this brilliant video for Barefoot “Murmurs”, taken from our “Blood Pressure” compilation album which came out on Med School back in March.

If you’ve not bagged yourself a copy of “Blood Pressure” yet, then you can get it HERE.

The video uses stop motion, time lapse and light drawing techniques that Matt has been using in photography. The video is shot on Bodmin Moor near a village called Minions and casts the story around the stone circles or “hurlers”. Matt wanted to juxtapose the ancient with the modern for maximum effect with the music dancing on the screen to capture the key elements of the track. With many pairs of hands to help and a hired generator, the video took 8 hours to shoot with a series of different shots using different lights and then the sunset which reversed to make look a sunrise.

Matt says “It was a feat in itself that we managed to keep everything dry! At every light we had one person operating it and one person on umbrella duty. It was very wet and windy which meant I had to call it a day at 2 in the morning but wanted to carry on till sunrise”.
