Med School’s intergalactic signings Fracture+Neptune make drum & bass that is out of this world. The north-east London duo of Charlie & Nelson have known each other for 10 years having met at college where they started making tunes whilst sharing their love for breaks, drum & bass and rave music.
It wasn’t long before Danny Breaks picked up on their exciting new sound and signed it to Droppin Science, this success was followed up as Paradox and Inperspective also signed up Fracture+Neptune creations. Through their links with club night Technicality, Fracture+Neptune form part of a strong collective of DJs/producers and continue to make breathtaking drum and bass for the labels like Bassbin and Subtle Audio.
The space-age track “Ventura” came through on Med School in 2006 and is a prime example of their dangerous but elegant sound. It got everyone talking from the forum heads on Subvert Central right through to big supporters like Flight on BBC 1Xtra. Flirtations with dubstep and subsequent d&b releases on Counter Intelligence and Offshore followed, before Fracture+Neptune returned to the Med School operating table in 2008 with a double dose of subatomic drum & bass in the shape of “Time Will Tell” and “Sky Song”. The Fracture+Neptune freight train rolls on!
